Pasta

Fettucini and Shrimp Homemade

The star of the show at Ciao Ragazzi is undoubtedly our homemade pasta, lovingly made by skilled chefs who take pride in their craft. Using the finest flour and eggs, the pasta is carefully kneaded and rolled to perfection, resulting in a tantalizingly tender and flavorful product.

Pizza

Homemade Pizza Chicago

The pizza-making process begins with our carefully crafted dough, which is prepared using a special blend of flours, yeast, and ample time for fermentation. This attention to detail results in a light and airy crust with a delightful chewy texture that serves as the perfect canvas for the flavors to come.

Limoncello

Homemade Limoncello Chicago

Using only the finest, sun-ripened lemons, the process of making Limoncello begins with carefully peeling the vibrant yellow citrus fruit to extract the zest. The zest is then steeped in high-quality alcohol, allowing the natural oils and flavors to infuse the liquid, creating a vibrant and aromatic base.

I drove to my favorite pasta spot but they were closed and on vacation so I decided to try these guys because I have been meaning to try them for a while due to their positive reviews. I ordered the gnocchi with spare rib meat for carry out so the atmosphere rating really doesn’t apply due to the fact they have a separate door for carry out. I have to say it was delicious. Nowadays many places skimp on their orders, but I can honestly say it wasn’t too much or too little. The quantity was just right for the price. Also, there was an adequate amount of short rib meat to compliment the structure of the dish. I will definitely repeat. If I were to criticize anything I would say that they should give their customers a choice of plain fresh bread or their “house” bread which is basically garlic bread. I just have a personal preference to butter plain Italian bread and wipe up what’s left over. The “house” bread was good though.
Good luck to you and your business! I will be back to run through your menu over time. Thanks for the great meal.

Nice spot when you would never think to stop by. It's off Archer Ave, on Narragansett. Had myself an item not in the menu. The steak was delicious.

This is a nice and cozy restaurant. However, we didn't receive a warm reception by the person who sat us, (we later learned that he was the owner) and I was a little hesitant to dine at Ciao Ragazzi but we stayed. The waiter was pleasant, he had a strong accent and I'm not sure how well he understood English. The food was really good. My friend ordered a dish but did not like it and ordered a different dish. The owner was made aware of the situation but didn't come to our table to at least inquire about how we liked the new dish, especially since there was a noticeable language barrier between us and our waiter. I'm not sure if I would dine there again and I would probably only recommend it to Italians because that seemed to be their preferred demographic.

Heard a lot of positive comments and decided to try this place. Pleasantly surprised. Owner was onsite. Service was excellent! They have a private parking lot.
Food was excellent! Authentic dishes well prepared and presented! Small wine list but something for everyone. Definitely a good spot.

1st timers: linguini diavola definitely worth the purchase, looked creamier than it tasted and that was excellent, nicely surprised;
eggplant parmigiana plate was wiped clean.
After dinner: chocolate Sunday was average,
The St. Germain was a great way to end the meal.
